Orendo is a interactive design studio that takes inspiration from the blend of two powerful concepts: "orenda" and the "enso" circle.
Orenda is a term of indigenous origin, meaning a spiritual power or life force that all living things possess. It speaks to the spiritual energy or power that an individual or group has to effect change in the world and make a meaningful impact.
Enso is a Japanese symbol that represents the balance and harmony of the universe. It's often used to symbolize strength, elegance, and the impermanence of life. Enso is traditionally drawn in one fluid and meditative brush stroke, representing the artist's state of mind in the moment of creation. It's often associated with Zen Buddhism and the idea of finding balance and understanding the fleeting nature of existence.
Orendo Studio uses these concepts to influence our approach in interactive design and development. We aim to create games that not only provide entertainment but also have a deeper meaning, immersing the players in believable worlds, and providing them with a sense of purpose and connection. Additionally, the principles behind the Enso Circle such as balance, harmony and effortless creation guide us in every step of our game development process.
